The installed systems were designed to provide reliable temperature control and operational efficiency within the hotel and accommodation spaces. All works were completed in collaboration with the wider project team, ensuring the systems integrated effectively with the building’s overall mechanical infrastructure while meeting the performance requirements of a large mixed-use hospitality development.
Project Name:
Townsend Street Development
Location:
Dublin, Ireland
The Townsend Street Development in Dublin 2 is a large mixed-use city-centre scheme located between Townsend Street, Moss Street and Gloucester Street. The project comprises multiple eight-storey buildings with a combined floor area of approximately 22,000 m², delivering a 393-bed Travelodge hotel, a 202-bed Staycity aparthotel, a residential block for Dublin City Council and ground-floor retail and restaurant space. The development forms part of the ongoing regeneration of Dublin’s city centre hospitality and residential sector and required careful coordination due to the constrained urban site and heavy pedestrian and traffic activity in the surrounding area.
As part of the building’s mechanical services installation, Kelly RAC provided HVAC installation services for Tritech Engineering, working in line with the mechanical design developed by Axis Engineering. The scope of works included the installation and commissioning of Samsung DVM systems and Daikin VRV air conditioning systems, delivering efficient climate control solutions across designated areas of the development.
