The Towlerton Medical Building in Ballysimon, Limerick is a purpose-built healthcare development designed to expand diagnostic and specialist medical services in the Mid-West region of Ireland. The project consists of a five-storey medical diagnostics facility spanning approximately 5,529 m², accommodating a range of services including MRI, PET-CT, CT scanning, X-ray diagnostics, consulting suites and treatment rooms, along with offices and supporting healthcare infrastructure.

Kelly RAC was appointed to deliver specialist HVAC installation works as part of the mechanical services package for the project. Appointed by Promec Mechanical Services and working in accordance with the design by Woods PS, Kelly RAC supplied, installed and commissioned a range of systems including Daikin VRV air conditioning, chillers, heat recovery ventilation (HRV) systems and air-to-water heat pumps (A2W HPs).

The works involved the installation and commissioning of high-performance climate control and ventilation systems designed to maintain stable indoor environmental conditions while supporting energy efficiency and operational reliability. All installations were delivered in coordination with the wider mechanical services team to ensure seamless integration with the building services infrastructure and compliance with the standards required for healthcare environments.
